Electric is your new reference electric piano, and its scope is stated: AIR Electric plugin is your total electric piano collection. Choose from a wide array of legendary keyboards like Rhodes, and others. That framing distinguishes it from Velvet 2, the developer's other electric piano instrument — where Velvet is a virtual electronic piano that combines five legendary electric pianos from the 60s and 70s into one versatile instrument. Based on the Fender Rhodes Suitcase, Fender Rhodes MK I and MK II Stage Pianos, Wurlitzer 200A, and Hohner Pianet-T, and as having 350+ professional presets meticulously programmed by AIR Music Technology's sound team — so the catalogue should distinguish between the two AIR electric piano products rather than treating them as one.

Its feature set is documented: five AIR effects — Tremolo, Tube distortion, Chorus, Delay, and Spring Reverb, over 80 presets, and critically dedicated Pickup, Envelope, Bell, and Noise parameter sections which provide a tremendous range of shaping options. Those four sections are the right control set for an electromechanical piano: the pickup position determines the instrument's brightness and attack character, the envelope shapes the tine or reed response, the bell parameter controls the inharmonic high-frequency content that gives a Rhodes its recognisable ring, and the noise section carries the mechanical action sound — so the controls map directly onto the physical instrument rather than being generic synth parameters. A Version 1.2.0.10 update for Mac and a Version 1.2.0.12 update for PC are provided, with optimized Apple Silicon support so installers and all plugin components run natively on ARM-based Macs. It runs in VST, VST3, AU, and AAX formats on Windows 10 and 11 or macOS 13 to 15, with full support for MPC standalone and desktop systems, and AIR Music Technology products require registration with the manufacturer plus an internet connection to authorise. It suits jazz, soul, R&B, funk, rock, pop, and hip hop production.
