Drumazon 2 is a virtual drum machine developed by D16 Group that faithfully emulates the sound and behavior of the classic Roland TR-909. It recreates all 11 of the original machine's drum instruments, delivering the punchy kick, snare, clap, toms, hi-hats, rim shot, and cymbal sounds associated with house, techno, electro, and other electronic dance music. The plugin retains the character of the original hardware while adding extensive sound-shaping and sequencing capabilities for modern production workflows.

Drumazon 2 features a built-in step sequencer with Tap recording, Randomizer, adjustable velocity, accent controls, per-step Flam and Substep articulations, and multiple pattern trigger modes including MIDI notes, MIDI CC, and GUI control. Patterns can be exported directly to a DAW as MIDI using drag-and-drop, while the plugin includes more than 1,000 factory presets and patterns covering Scenes, Drum Kits, and individual instrument sounds. Each drum channel has its own processing section with high-cut and low-cut filtering, two-band parametric EQ, dynamics processing, and routing to either of two effects buses or the master bus. The two FX buses provide algorithms including distortion, bitcrushing, reverb, delay, chorus, filtering, EQ, and dynamics processing, while the master section adds presets, a three-band compressor, and a limiter with soft clipping. Drumazon 2 also provides MIDI Learn, a customizable MIDI map, audible trigger outputs, multiple interface sizes, and HiDPI support. It runs as a 32-bit or 64-bit plugin on Windows 7 or newer in VST2, VST3, and AAX formats, while macOS 10.13 through macOS 26 supports VST2, VST3, AU, and AAX in 64-bit operation, with both Intel and Apple Silicon support.
