Just brutal, ready-to-go grooves — and its particular character is the laid-back, swinging end of hip hop, as distinct from the more aggressive titles in the range. Beatmaker's design is built around kits playable from the keyboard, with styles selected by key, so patterns can be auditioned and assembled without programming. The content format across the range is consistent: 10 ready-to-go kits in the current generation, 20 styles with 460 MIDI loops, 50 Mix and Style presets, and category controls including Devastate/Squish — where Devastate drives punch or destruction — alongside kick, snare, hi-hat, and percussion category controls for swapping individual elements. Since Beatmaker 3, all titles are integrated into a single frame, providing a cleaner plug-in list in your DAW and per-track control over volume, pan, filter, ambience, and saturation, with individual output routing inside the plugin. It suits hip hop, boom bap, lo-fi, and downtempo production, and pairs with Virtual Bassist and Finisher RETRO for a complete vintage-flavoured arrangement.
