Diva Expansion Pack: Explorations is a preset expansion for u-he's Diva, the analog-modelling synthesizer whose architecture reproduces classic hardware modules, letting you choose the oscillator, filter, and envelope models from several vintage hardware sources and combine them in a single voice. The Diva line of soundsets is documented by u-he: Diva comes with a large and varied factory preset library, but sometimes you need fresh inspiration, new sounds or new genres to delve into — and the developer's catalogue includes a relevant comparator in Automata, which is a collection of 300+ presets exploring one of Diva's lesser-known (and less accessible) talents. While most other soundsets created by a single sound designer focus on a specific musical style, this diverse collection delves into a more technical and underrepresented aspect — motion! That comparator is worth citing because it establishes what an "explorations" framing means in u-he's own catalogue: a soundset that targets a technical or underused aspect of the synth rather than a genre. Other documented Diva soundsets include Atmos, where all 128 presets in this collection of arpeggios, leads, pads, and ambient effects are permeated with a sense of space, and third-party packs such as New Loops' Diva Expansion 1 with 76 presets covering classic and vintage sounds including huge cinematic pads and drones, warm analogue basses, oldskool chords and FM bells, big brassy synths, beautiful filtered keys and arpeggios, fully tagged with descriptions, mod wheel assigned on each patch, and level matched, including NKS format, requiring u-he Diva version 1.4.3 or later; and Plugin Boutique's Diva Expansion Pack: Ambient Depths, which contains 64 expertly crafted presets across 8 Arps, 12 Basses, 8 FX, 10 Keys, 10 Leads, and 16 Pads, requiring u-he Diva (latest version). u-he also documents that Automata requires Diva version 1.4.6 or newer — so version requirements vary between soundsets and should be checked per pack. It suits electronic music, ambient, experimental production, and sound design, and the "explorations" framing suggests a pack for producers who want Diva pushed into unfamiliar territory rather than another genre library.
