D16 Group Decimort 2 is a vintage sampler coloration and bitcrushing processor designed to recreate the sonic characteristics of early digital samplers such as classic Akai and E-MU hardware. Its processing simulates the complete ADC/DAC resampling path, including reduced sample rates, bit depth, quantization, filtering, and controlled aliasing. The result can range from subtle vintage coloration and added grit to heavily degraded digital textures suitable for sound design and creative processing.

Decimort 2 provides Approximative and Images filters, adjustable jitter, controllable dithering, two quantization algorithms, and a multimode resonant filter that can operate before or after the resampling stage. A dedicated resampler provides further control over sample-rate reduction, while adjustable jitter introduces random fluctuations to the resampling frequency for additional harmonic movement. The plugin is available for Windows and macOS in VST2, VST3, AU, and AAX formats, with a Rack Extension version also available for Reason.
