Waves Clarity Vx DeReverb uses Waves Neural Networks to automatically identify and reduce room sound, echo, and reverb in vocal and dialogue recordings. It is designed for recordings made in untreated or acoustically problematic spaces such as rooms, hallways, gyms, and other reflective environments, while also being useful for reducing baked-in reverb on existing vocal samples. Dedicated neural networks are provided for spoken dialogue and sung vocals, with processing controlled primarily through a simple Main knob.

The plugin can process vocals in real time or offline and includes stereo processing controls for analyzing the input channels and adjusting output width. Waves recommends placing Clarity Vx DeReverb at the beginning of the processing chain, before other vocal processors, so its neural network can work with a cleaner signal. It supports VST3, Audio Units, and AAX formats on current Windows and macOS systems, including Apple Silicon Macs.
