CLA-76 Compressor / Limiter is inspired by two highly-desirable revisions of the famed mid-60s Class A line level limiting amplifier, and both versions — known in the plugin as "Blacky" and "Bluey" — deliver the super-fast attack (as quick as 50 microseconds) that made the originals studio legends. Where the CLA-2A is smooth and optical, the CLA-76 models the ultra-fast response and tube-like distortion of FET control circuitry, giving it a harder, more aggressive character suited to material that needs to be pushed forward. Revision B is the silver-face, blue-stripe model ("Bluey"), and Revision D is the LN (Low Noise) black-panel version ("Blacky"). The control set mirrors the hardware but is expanded: an input pot to set compression amount, attack and release knobs, an output pot, and pushbuttons for ratio and metering options. Additional features include Auto Makeup Gain, an exclusive ALL control, pre-amp distortion modelling, zero latency, and support up to 24-bit 192 kHz. Mono and stereo components are included, and it runs in VST3, AU, and AAX formats.
