arbon Electra 2 is a four-oscillator synthesizer by Scaler Music and a complete redesign of the original Carbon Electra. It combines classic analog waveforms, wavetable synthesis, and new Wave Terrain oscillators that generate evolving waveforms from a 3D surface. Its Scale Lock system allows oscillators and filters to respond to the selected musical scale, helping producers create sounds that remain harmonically connected to their music.

The upgrade also introduces a key-aware note and chord sequencer, allowing users to program riffs, basslines, arpeggios, chords, inversions, and substitutions while staying within a chosen key. Other features include three LFOs, two envelopes, a multi-shape modulation sequencer, musical filters, unison, FM, hard sync, and five built-in effects consisting of delay, distortion, chorus, EQ, and reverb. Carbon Electra 2 includes 362 presets and is available in VST3, AU, and AAX formats for Windows and macOS.
