Brazil Now Strum GS-2 Sound Bank is a sound pack for Applied Acoustics Systems' Strum GS-2, made by Brazilian producer and keyboard virtuoso Thiago Pinheiro, whose work is described as capturing the ever-evolving spirit of Brazilian music, together with the grooves that belong to it. The pairing is well chosen: Brazilian guitar playing has a specific rhythmic vocabulary — the bossa nova batida, the samba pattern, and the choro bass line — and Strum GS-2's strumming engine models guitar playing rather than sampling it, so a Brazilian set is a natural fit for its architecture. Strum GS-2 itself is described as your new session guitarist, offering 250+ acoustic and electric guitar presets and 700+ strumming loop patterns, using physical modeling — which brings the documented benefits of the approach: sound manipulation at the source core, presets loading in a flash, super smooth dynamics with no velocity layers, a small memory footprint of less than 256 MB of RAM per instance, and installation in less than a minute. The instrument is $199, and Strum GS-2 +PACKS bundles the instrument, the factory library, and 20 sound packs. Brazil Now is priced at $39 regular, $19 on sale, and sits alongside Synchronicity, also by Thiago Pinheiro at the same price — two packs by the same Brazilian producer covering related musical territory. AAS, founded in 1998 and based in Montreal, is described as having released Tassman, the first virtual instrument based on physical modeling, and as the industry leader in this exciting new field of synthesis. Sound packs can also be purchased individually and played via the free AAS Player. It suits Brazilian music, bossa nova, samba, jazz, Latin jazz, and any production needing authentic Brazilian guitar. #BrazilNow #StrumGS2 #AppliedAcousticsSystems #AAS #ThiagoPinheiro #BrazilianMusic #BossaNova #Samba #Choro #Guitar #PhysicalModeling #SoundBank #SoundPack #Jazz #LatinJazz #MusicProduction #AASPlayer #VST #VST3 #AU #AAX #NKS #FLStudio #AbletonLive #LogicPro #Cubase
