BigKick Expansion V6 – Progressive House Kicks with Kiholm contains 64 crafted kick drum presets, 32 attack hits, and 32 attack presets, and it is aimed at progressive house, a genre whose kick requirement is distinctive: progressive house tracks are long and build gradually, so the kick must sit in a mix that grows dense over eight or more minutes without becoming fatiguing, and it typically needs a rounded sub with a restrained click rather than the hard transient of techno — an approach that lets filter automation and layered elements carry the energy instead of the drum itself. The pack is documented in the series as Progressive House Kicks with Kiholm, and it appears on Plugin Boutique at a list price of ¥2,563 in the Japanese distributor's pricing, equivalent to the standard expansion tier — the artist Kiholm's contribution being the identifying element, consistent with the series' pattern of pairing each volume with a named producer. The attack layer is worth explaining for a buyer unfamiliar with BigKick: in BigKick a kick is assembled from a body and an attack component, and the attack provides the transient click that determines how the kick reads on small speakers, so the separation of 32 attack hits from 32 attack presets means a producer can change the character of the transient without redesigning the kick body — which in progressive house is exactly the adjustment needed when a track's arrangement changes. A requirement applies to every BigKick expansion and should lead the entry: the full version of BigKick is required to run this expansion pack, and Plugin Boutique's BigKick Drum Generator is required to run these presets. Installation is documented in the range's standard form: download the .zip folder from within your user account and double-click it, open BigKick within your DAW and click the 'Info' tab, then click 'Yes' to confirm installation — or on Windows, click 'Install Add-On Packs', locate the .big file from the extracted folder, and click 'Open'. It is published by Plugin Boutique, and sits alongside BigKick Expansion V4 with Scott Diaz, V5 with Axel Karakasis, and the other genre volumes — and it is worth noting that this pack's name appears as the installation example in several sibling product listings, so the catalogue should verify that its own listing actually describes this pack and has not inherited example text. It suits progressive house and melodic house production. #BigKick #BigKickExpansionV6 #ProgressiveHouseKicks #Kiholm #PluginBoutique #KickDrum #KickDesign #KickGenerator #PresetExpansion #ProgressiveHouse #MelodicHouse #AttackHits #AttackPresets #PresetManager #SoundDesign #ElectronicMusic #MusicProduction #VST #VST3 #AU #AAX #FLStudio #AbletonLive #LogicPro #Cubase #StudioOne
