BFD Player Expansion: Metal Essentials is your next thunderous drumkit for metal and rock, derived from the legendary BFD Oblivion expansion pack and described as a relentless powerhouse crafted for the most audacious drummers and producers. Because it descends from Oblivion, whose sounds and processing are inspired by genres like post-metal, sludge, prog-metal, and alt-rock, the pack arrives pre-processed for heavy music rather than natural — the drums are already shaped to slice through the densest walls of guitars. The cymbal complement is named: a 21" Zildjian A-Rock Ride, a 16" Zildjian Z-Custom Crash, an 18" Paiste 2002 Crash, a 20" Bosphorus China, and a 14" Paiste 2002 Heavy Hihat — a set assembled for projection and cut, with heavier weights and more aggressive profiles than a pop kit would use. It is one of eight kits in the launch range of BFD Player expansions, alongside Jazz Sticks, Jazz Brushes, Americana Sticks, Americana Brushes, Dark Copper, Vintage Rock, and Pop Essentials, which sell for $29 each. Compatibility is essential: BFD Player expansions require BFD Player 1.1.0 and are not compatible with BFD3. Requirements are Windows 10 version 1909 and above or macOS 10.13 to macOS 13 Ventura (Apple Silicon compatible), with 2 GB free disk space (10.5 GB recommended for all content), 4 GB RAM (8 GB recommended), and a dual-core 2.5 GHz CPU. It suits metal, post-metal, prog-metal, metalcore, and alt-rock production. #BFDPlayer #BFDMetalEssentials #BFD #MetalEssentials #BFDOblivion #Zildjian #Paiste #Bosphorus #Metal #PostMetal #ProgMetal #Metalcore #AltRock #DrumExpansion #DrumKits #MusicProduction #VST2 #VST3 #AAX #AU #Standalone #ProTools #LogicPro #Cubase #Reaper
