BFD Player Expansion: London 70s invites you to step back in time to the era of iconic rock legends, where the sound of Led Zeppelin ruled the stage, with the developer promising you can now capture the essence of those legendary rock vibes and infuse your music with the raw energy of the 1970s and the closing line get ready for big, booming rock drums that pack a punch like no other. The specific reference is the product's substance: the expansion features Ludwig drums and Paiste cymbals that have been set up, tuned, and recorded specifically to re-create that larger-than-life Led Zeppelin drum sound that defined an era, and it contains drum and cymbal sounds in the unmistakable style of John "Bonzo" Bonham. The kit list is documented instrument by instrument, and every item in it is a deliberate Bonham reference: a Vistalite Kick of Doom, a Black Oyster 402 Supraphonic snare, and 3 Vistalite toms (1 rack, 2 floor), with Paiste cymbals including Sound Edge Heavy hi-hats, 18- and 20-inch 2002 crashes, and a 22-inch 2002 ride. The Vistalite shells are the detail that makes this a period recreation rather than a generic rock kit — Bonham's acrylic Ludwig Vistalite kit, used on Led Zeppelin's later tours and on the Song Remains the Same film, produces a distinctly hard, projecting attack that wood shells do not — and the 402 Supraphonic in Black Oyster finish is the specific snare associated with him, while the oversized 22-inch 2002 ride and the heavy Sound Edge hi-hats reflect the sheer volume the music demanded. Its groove content is documented: in perfect harmony with our meticulously recorded drum sounds, the London 70's Expansion comes complete with a treasure trove of 178 individual Grooves. These rhythmic gems are a sonic bridge to the soul of the '70s, tailor-made for evoking the spirit of Led Zeppelin and that iconic era. The compatibility position must lead the catalogue entry and is documented explicitly: this expansion pack for the BFD Player 1.1.0, and it is not compatible with BFD3 — a critical distinction, because BFD's catalogue divides into BFD Player expansions and BFD3 expansions, which are not interchangeable, where a BFD3 expansion requires BFD 3.5 and does not work with BFD Player. Installation follows the Player route: open the inMusic Software Center, go to the Expansions tab, find your expansion pack in the list, and click the three dots next to the expansion name and select Activate. It is listed at $29 and distributed by Plugin Boutique, Sweetwater, and PluginFox, carrying a 4.2 rating, and its siblings in the Player range include Jazz Sticks, Jazz Brushes, Dark Mahogany, Americana Sticks, Americana Brushes, Dark Copper, Metal Essentials, Pop Essentials, and Vintage Rock. Its general rationale is documented: BFD Player Expansion Packs, meticulously curated by our expert sound designers based on decades of experience, are designed to take your music production to the next level with an array of fresh kits and grooves, offering a quick burst of creative inspiration. It suits classic rock, hard rock, blues rock, and 1970s-flavoured production, and the 178 grooves are what make it usable as a writing tool rather than only as a sound set — a producer can load the kit and immediately have Bonham-idiomatic patterns to play against. #BFDLondon70s #BFDPlayer #BFD #London70s #LedZeppelin #JohnBonham #Ludwig #Vistalite #Supraphonic402 #Paiste #2002 #SoundEdge #ClassicRock #HardRock #BluesRock #Seventies #DrumLibrary #Grooves #NotBFD3 #MusicProduction #VST2 #VST3 #AU #AAX #FLStudio #AbletonLive #LogicPro #Cubase #ProTools #Reaper
