BFD London Sessions is a BFD3 expansion pack featuring the original BFD2 factory library recorded at London's AIR Studios. The collection is a detailed set of 10 vintage and modern kits with dramatic room sounds tracked through the magic of a custom Neve console, comprising over 80 kit pieces including 10 full kits, 8 hi-hats, 23 cymbals, and 16 snares — with huge kicks and detailed snares, hi-hats with 11 articulations, and cymbals with bell and edge hits. That breadth gives huge timbral variety and a wide range of mixing options.

The room capture is a defining feature: the legendary room at AIR's Lyndhurst Hall is captured by 2 pairs of room mics including a mid/side set capable of anything from true mono to richly expanded stereo, plus a mid/side close room for true mono or expanded stereo and dramatic, powerful far room mics. Material is delivered as 49 GB of multi-channel, 24-bit 44.1 kHz audio, and 25 presets are included. It is an expansion for BFD3 (and was also made available for BFD Eco), requires BFD 3 License Required, and runs on Windows 10 version 1909 and above or macOS 12 Monterey and above, with 22.51 GB free disk space required on both platforms. Supported formats are VST2, VST3, and AAX on Windows and VST2, VST3, AAX, and AU (Intel and ARM — Rosetta is not required) on Mac. It suits rock, pop, funk, soul, and singer-songwriter production where a large, roomy drum sound is wanted.
