BFD 3.5 is an industry-standard acoustic drum software instrument originally created by FXpansion and actively maintained by BFD Drums / inMusic. Celebrated for its hyper-detailed sampling depth (up to 80 velocity layers per articulation), the workstation gives producers, composers, and drum programmers complete control over raw, uncompressed acoustic drum kits recorded in premier studio spaces. The engine centers around advanced tom resonance and cymbal swell modeling algorithms, simulating realistic bleed and acoustic "glue" across drum heads and ambient microphones.
