Lunacy BEAM 2.0 is a modular multi-effects environment designed for transforming conventional sounds into evolving textures, rhythmic effects, spatial environments, and experimental soundscapes. Its ecosystem includes effects such as Grains, Space, Filter, and Haze, with additional Lunacy effects available through the expanding BEAM ecosystem. The engine supports flexible effect combinations, modulation, parallel processing, and impulse-response-based processing, making it useful for vocals, drums, keys, synths, samples, and sound design.

BEAM 2.0 includes 300+ global presets, 200+ impulse responses, and 150+ node presets, along with a preset generator based on Lunacy's probability-cluster algorithm. Version 2.0 adds standalone versions of BEAM effects, the Haze effect, new impulse responses and node presets, expanded filter types and rolloff controls, updated LFO modulation and sidechaining, and mid-side control per processing path. It runs on Windows 10+ and macOS 10.15+ in VST3, AU, and AAX formats, with native Apple Silicon support.
