Bazille is u-he's modular-style synthesizer — described as a monstrous modular synthesizer built from a large collection of modules that can be patched freely with virtual cables. What distinguishes it from other modular instruments is its oscillator section: it offers analog-modelled oscillators alongside phase distortion and FM options, and its oscillators are built from parts that can be independently routed, allowing complex and unusual timbres without leaving the oscillator stage. u-he positions it as an alternative for people who find fully modular environments overwhelming but want more depth than a fixed-architecture synth.

Its modules typically include four oscillators with multiple waveforms and modes, two filters with several types, multiple envelopes and LFOs, a step sequencer, a noise source, a MIDI and modulation section, and effects including delay and reverb, all connected by patching that can be saved in the preset, so a patch retains its routing rather than relying on a fixed signal path. It suits electronic music, experimental production, sound design, and cinematic work, and rewards producers who build their own instruments. u-he instruments run as standalone applications and as plugins in VST, VST3, AU, and AAX formats on macOS and Windows, with native Apple Silicon support, and are available through official distributors including Thomann. It suits electronic, experimental, and sound design production.
