Antelope Audio BA-6A is a tube compressor and limiting amplifier modeled after a legendary 1950s unit originally designed for television and radio broadcasting. Its three-stage amplification, moderate drive, hard-knee compression, fast attack, and medium release produce a balanced, aggressive, and vintage character while retaining the punch of the source. The circuit modeling also recreates the harmonic coloration associated with its nine-valve tube architecture, rectifier, and voltage regulation stages.

BA-6A provides Input Gain, Output Gain, gain-reduction metering, and selectable compression modes, with the Dual mode extending recovery time during sustained peaks. Its high-gain design can be used for both controlled dynamics and additional harmonic thickening, making it particularly effective on vocals, bass, kick drums, snares, guitars, and full mixes. The plugin runs natively in DAWs on Windows and macOS, while compatible Antelope Audio Synergy Core interfaces can process it in real time.
