Baby Audio Atoms is a physical modeling synthesizer that generates sound through a simulation of interconnected masses and springs rather than conventional oscillator-based synthesis. Its virtual bowing mechanism excites the physical model, producing organic, resonant tones that can range from string-like textures and atmospheric pads to basses, leads, and experimental sounds. The instrument includes four physical-model profiles and six main parameters that can be automated for constantly evolving movement.

Atoms also features a musically calibrated randomizer for generating usable patches, a Recycle function for creating variations, physically modeled modulation effects, a resonant low-pass filter, Drive, Reverb, and 250 factory presets. It supports VST, VST3, AU, and AAX formats, as well as standalone operation, on Windows 10+ and macOS 10.11+, with native Apple Silicon support.
