Appex – Modern Trailer Guitar is described by Keepforest as an innovative 8-string guitar library built specifically for modern cinematic scoring, high-energy trailers, and intense video game soundtracks. The design brief is specific: combines the power of a playable 8-string guitar with a unique Riff Designer, a riff-playing mode via MIDI signal, and an extensive collection of presets and templates that can be easily modified — from aggressive metal riffs to cinematic and mysterious sounds — all within a universal management ecosystem, and the developer's summary is create world-class soundtracks. Its contents are unusually detailed: playable 8-string guitar across a 5-octave range, 11 articulations and 16 round robins, where 16 round robins — 8 per side (4 up, 4 down) for left and right guitars — which is the specific mechanism that makes a doubled rhythm guitar part sound played rather than programmed. Libraries extend well beyond the instrument itself: a unique Riff Designer that can create, automate, export, and import riffs via MIDI, 3,700+ riffs and rhythms, 87 genre kits with 7 scenes each, 150 element kits, 180 chain presets, internal and external chains, and an intuitive interface. A supplementary listing documents 84 global kits, 154 elements, 2,300 rhythm presets, 268 chord progressions, 385 arpeggio patterns, 184 chain presets, 44 effects and around 300 cabinets, plus a flexible search system — worth reconciling with the primary figures when writing the listing. Requirements are Kontakt 8.0 or newer, and critically compatible with the free Kontakt Player — so no full Kontakt licence is needed, unlike many orchestral libraries. Supported interfaces are macOS (64-bit only): standalone, VST3, AU, AAX and Windows (64-bit only): standalone, VST3, AAX, with graphics hardware support for Direct 3D 11.1 (Feature Level 11_0) or higher and ASIO, Core Audio, and WASAPI support. It is priced at $299.00 and is NKS compatible. It suits film, television, and game scoring, trailer music, and hybrid cinematic production. #Appex #ModernTrailerGuitar #Keepforest #8StringGuitar #Cinematic #TrailerMusic #FilmScore #GameAudio #Television #RiffDesigner #RoundRobins #Kontakt #KontaktPlayer #NKS #Metal #HybridScoring #SoundDesign #MusicProduction #Standalone #VST3 #AU #AAX #LogicPro #Cubase
