The Apollo Monitor Correction Add-on integrates SoundID Reference calibration directly into Universal Audio's Apollo X Gen 1 and Gen 2 interfaces, moving correction from software onto the interface's internal DSP. This is the key difference from the standard setup: once calibration runs on Apollo X, the SoundID Reference DAW plugin is no longer needed, and the standalone app becomes a control interface only — returning to it to apply additional profiles or adjust settings such as Target Mode. Because processing happens on the interface hardware rather than in the host, you get accurate sound from stereo to multichannel with minimal latency, and consistent results across any listening environment. It supports headphone profiles with SoundID Reference for Headphones, headphone and stereo speaker profiles with calibrated bass management for stereo/subwoofer setups via SoundID Reference for Speakers and Headphones, and multichannel speaker profiles with SoundID Reference for Multichannel. Requirements include macOS 11 Big Sur or newer, UAD Software v11.5.1 or newer, UAD Console v1.2.1 or newer, a valid permanent SoundID Reference licence, and at least one Apollo X interface configured as the monitor unit.
