The API Vision Channel Strip emulates the API Vision console module, giving you the complete signal path of a large-format API desk inside one plugin. That means an API preamp, the console's equalizer and filters, and its compressor/gate dynamics in a single interface, so a track can be shaped from input to output in one place rather than across several plugins. This is the practical advantage of a console strip: the stages were designed to work together and the results reflect that. It suits tracking, where the preamp and EQ impart the API character at the source, and mixing, where the strip provides the punch and mid-forward presence associated with API consoles.
