About Anukari
Anukari (pronounced ah-noo-karr-ee) is a synthesizer and effects plugin built entirely on real-time physics simulation. Rather than oscillators and filters, you build instruments from masses, springs, and more in 3D space and hear what happens — the engine simulates the physical system and produces sound from its behaviour. This is a genuinely different approach to synthesis, closer to physical modelling taken to its logical extreme than to conventional virtual analog.
Modulation is correspondingly deep: powerful sample-accurate LFOs which can operate all the way up to audio frequency for FM, MIDI-triggered envelopes, envelope followers, and every MIDI control source as well as DAW automation parameters. It supports full MPE and Microtuning via MTS-ESP. The developer's own framing is open-ended: create a loose, tangled mass of springs and excite it with white noise — the outcome is not predictable, which is the appeal. It runs on Mac, Windows, and Linux in VST, AU, AAX, and LV2 formats.
